28 vintage gelatin silver prints, stapled by means of one-side glued paper strips. From 11.8 x 16.5 cm to 12.5 x 17.5 cm. Some prints annotated and marked in the image in ink in an unknown hand. 15 prints with official stamp of the 'Bay. Feldflieg. Abteilung No. 5' (Bavarian Airforce, section no. 5), therein detailed information about the image (time, position, flight altitude, ranks and names of the executives).

The 5th “Feldfliegerabteilung“ of the 1st Royal Bavarian Flight Batallion was deployed to carry out reconnaissance flights on the Western Front at the beginning of WWI. This booklet contains perpendicular shots of the battlegrounds of Northern France, taken by specially trained flight officers from 2500 - 5000 m altitudes.
