A good possibly marine ivory seal netsuke of a suisai. Late 18th century

Seated on its haunches, the head turned back, with a long slender horn and a long beard, the body covered by finely engraved scales and a small carapace on the back. Beneath the oval base a seal character in relief.
Height 4.1 cm
