An Edo school ivory netsuke of a shishi with a brocade ball. First half/mid-19th century

Seated on its hind legs turning to the right, placing a forepaw on a brocade ball with shippô tsunagi pattern in openwork and holding the braided cord affixed to the ball in its mouth.
