A large Tanba school wood netsuke of a dragon in a mikan, by Toyomasa. First half 19th century

The huge dragon with an open mouth and spiky hair visible through the holes of a mandarin, his whiskers and flames arranged decoratively around the fruit, at the base a short stem and a leaf with veins in ukibori forming a natural himotôshi. The eye of yellowish horn. Signed Toyomasa in a rounded rectangular reserve.
