A Meissen porcelain figure of Narcisin.

From the series of Italian commedia dell'arte figures made for Duke Johann Adolf II of Saxony-Weißenfels. Unglazed underside, blue crossed swords mark to the back of the socle. The fingers of the extended hand and the extended foot restored, a small chip to the hat and the leaf of the flower. H 13.5 cm.
Circa or after 1743, modelled by Peter Reinicke.
