Flemish 17th century

A 17th century Flemish carved alabaster figure of Saint Andrew.

Carved in the round, minor remains of a former partial polychromy. A standing figure of the Apostle carrying a book in his left hand and holding one beam of the cross of his martyrdom with his raised right hand.
The ends of the cross lost. A fine horizontal crack to the hips. Some wear. Height 29.5 cm.
