A Tamil Nadu gold pendant (thali) from a marriage necklace of modified hand form (asthma) with four fingers displaying Shiva and Parvati seated on the bull Nandi and a female attendant, surrounded by scrolls in repoussé, openwork and engraving. Weight 115.6 g (including the shellac filling). Southern India. Late 19th/early 20th century.
