An Augsburg silver pitcher made for the Dukes of Mecklenburg Schwerin. Engraved to the display side with the large coat of arms of the Dukes of Mecklenburg-Schwerin with the Danish order of the Elephant and the Russian order of St. Andrew the first-called. Engraved with an inventory no. and weight to the underside "No. 3 / 8 mk 7 L 3 Q". Marks of Johann II Pepfenhauser, 1711 - 15. H 22 cm, weight 709 g.

The pitcher was presumably part of Duke Christian Ludwigs II of Mecklenburg-Schwerin's (1728 - 56) toilette garniture. He was awarded with the order of the elephant in 1749 and the order of St. Andrew in 1749.
