An 18th century, presumably Westphalian carved wooden personification of Hope.

Carved in the round, the reverse flattened. With older polychromy.. A personification of the Christian cardinal virtue of Hope represented as a female figure with an anchor. This piece is a pendant to the following lot.
Minor wear. Height 42 cm.
