An ivory netsuke of a group of takaramono, by Shômin. Mid-19th century

A treasure bag (fukuro) is surrounded by a jewel (tama), a key (kagi) and shippô, while Daikoku’s mallet (tsuchi), a scroll (makimono) and chôji are placed on top and a Chinese-style fan lies beneath. Tiny details inlaid with a green-stained material. Signed Shômin (Masatami).
