A rare spherical ivory netsuke of Daikoku and Ebisu’s attributes and takaramono. Late 18th/19th century

The sphere is carved in low relief with Daikoku’s mallet, a sea bream, a key, a ledger, a kanebukuro and Ebisu’s eboshi, all under bamboo leaves on a wickerwork ground with a fundô at the base.

Compare to the drawing of a similar netsuke by Issai in the Sôken Kishô.
