Carved in sunken relief with a seated Hotei whisking matcha in a tea bowl, in front of him a pot (chagama) for boiling water in a sunken hearth; on the reverse a feather fan and rings (kan) for lifting the chagama from the coals. Signed Hôryû with kaô.
