A tantô, blade length 26.7 cm, hira zukuri, gunome-midare hamon, itame hada, nakago: ubu, one mekugi-ana, mumei, silver-plated habaki. 19th century.
Koshirae: Iron tsuba with stylised blossoms in gold-nunome, shibuichi fuchi-kashira with crane and flowering plum tree of shakudô and gold, inscribed Shumei hôgen, shakudô kozuka with five oxen in relief, iron blade, menuki with oxen in gilt-copper, black thread binding over same, saya: roiro ground with monkey by a kaki tree in coloured lacquer. 19th century.
