A late 15th century Flemish carved oak figure of God the Father

Carved three-quarters in the round, the reverse flattened. Minimal remains of former polychromy.. A figure of God the Father dressed in papal robes and a tiara, standing in a frontal pose. The piece could originate from a depiction of the coronation of the Virgin. The fine carving of the figure is particularly evident in the freestanding carving of the stola.
The formerly pegged on hands lacking. A loss to the left edge of the plinth. Wear with minor losses. Height 55 cm.
