A Himachal Pradesh bronze figure of Durga Mahishasuramardini. 13th/14th century

A Himachal Pradesh bronze figure of Durga Mahishasuramardini standing on a stepped and footed base with one leg on the buffalo demon which is attacked by a lion, with a trishula she kills the demon in human form emerging from the buffalo’s decapitated body, in her other hand she holds weapons and a ghanta. Behind the figure a torana with a flower within a roundel. 13th/14th century.
