Upper left "N: 31", upper right "Fountain by Bakshi Serai". With a crossed-out pencil sketch to the reverse, possibly a study. Gouache, watercolour and gold-bronze paint over pencil on drawing paper, with a crossed-out pencil sketch on verso. 30.1 x 20.9 cm. Monogrammed (?) and dated "1/VII 34" in ink lower right, inscribed below in pencil. - The upper and right edges irregularly torn out; a small, backed (presumably by the artist) tear to the lower right, studio traces, slight foxing.
