The lithophane depicting a Neoclassical church. Impressed sceptre mark with KPM and model. no. 121. Lithophane 11.8 x 15.8 cm, H stand 42.4 cm.
The cast iron Königliche Eisengießereien, mid-19th C.

This lithophane depicts the interior of the Frue Kirke Cathedral in Copenhagen. The church was built in 1829 after plans by the architect Christian Frederik Hansen. The porticus-like altar houses the famous figure of Christ by Bertel Thorvaldsen.
