An 18k gold ring with interchangable stone spheres

Designed as an angular crossover ring into which can be inserted ten coloured stone spheres: Quartz with rutile inclusions, snowflake obsidian, citrine, hematite, cornelian, amethyst, rhodochrosite, and three of agate. Stamped fineness 750, maker's mark "B". Ring size 54. Weight without stones 5.2 g.

The aircraft engineer and goldsmith Friedrich Becker (Ende near Hagen 1922 - Düsseldorf 1997) designed the model for his sphere ring in 1957 and received the Bavarian State Prize for a slightly ammended version of it in 1959.
