An 18k gold novelty brooch

Designed as a tortoise pavé set with brilliant-cut diamonds, citrine, sapphires, and emerald cabochons. The head with a cognac coloured citrine cabochon, the shell with a Colombian emerald cabochon of ca. 4.6 ct (ca. 12 x 9 x 6.4 mm) surrounded by 12 brilliant-cut diamonds (in total ca. 2.0 ct (H/I, vvs). Hand-made piece. Stamped fineness 750, indistinct Vienna assay mark and maker's mark, DEMNER NY VIE. L 4.5 cm. Weight 20.6 g.
