A pair of Neoclassical candelabra

Turned and carved wood with dark brown patination, mounted in gilt bronze and tin. An elegant and unusual pair of table candelabra comprised of numerous connected parts. Tapering shaft issuing from a round, indented foot and supporting a vase form node. The two curved branches with screw-mounted nozzles flanking a small vase with a foliate finial. Mounted throughout with ribbon, beadwork, and fluted metal mouldings. Slightly warped, several parts loose, the screw-mountings restored. H 42 and 42.5 cm.
Presumably Baltic, last quarter 18th C.
