A bronze processional cross, probably North Italian, late 14th century

Cast and engraved bronze with old patina. The metal mountings over a wooden corpus presumably sheet copper with punched and engraved decor. A latin cross with quatrefoil motifs to the terminals and the Corpus Christi attached to the front. The mountings to the front are decorated with stamped ornament whilst those of the reverse are left plain.
Wear with minimal losses. 41.5 x 32.5 cm.
