An ivory netsuke of Shôki with two oni, by Shunkôsai. Late 19th century

Kneeling with sword at his back, Shôki has caught two oni, grabbing one of them by its arm while holding down the oni in front of him with his hand. A rare illustration of Shôki successful in his job as demon-queller. Signed Shunkôsai.
