A blue and white bottle vase. Chongzhen period (1628-1644)

Globular body with a tall slender garlic neck, decorated with a continuous scene of "The Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove". The figures are variously shown enjoying a game of weiqi, reclining at leisure, playing the qin, and appreciating a scroll painting. The neck is painted with stylised flowers and foliage.
