A mandarin's velvet brimmed winter hat (jiguan), the crown of black satin, under a tassel of red twisted silk cord, the metal button the insignia of the seventh to ninth rank, with one stamped mark to the cotton lining, with a single-eyed peacock feather plume and a gray jadeite plume fastener. Late 19th century.
