A blue-ground yellow dragon dish. Qianlong-Periode (1735-1796)

Qianlong six-character mark and of the period
Of saucer-shape with everted rim, the centre painted with a five-clawed dragon writhing amidst flames and cloud swirls in pursuit of a flaming pearl, decorated around the well with two further dragons chasing a flaming pearl, the exterior similarly decorated with a pair of dragons above a lotus lappet border at the foot, all reserved on a blue ground.
