An underglaze-blue and copper-red decorated vase. Kangxi period (1662-1722)

A square vase with cylindrical flaring neck, decorated in underglaze-blue and copper-red with herons above a lotus pond, further bird couples by flowering plum and prunus trees, and butterflies by chrysanthemums growing near a rock, the flat shoulder with four flower sprays and the neck with branches of bamboo. Lozenge mark to base.
