A large fine Edo school boxwood netsuke of an Okame mask. Mid-19th century

The face with a happy expression showing narrow eyes, a mouth with visible upper row of teeth and tongue, the thick hair parted in the middle and framing the face. Signed with a kaô (most probably that of Shûgetsu).
