A Sinotibetan gilt bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni. 15th century

The richly gilt figure is seated in vajrasana on a double-lotus base with beaded rims, his right hand in the earth-touching mudra and his left hand resting in his lap, wearing a sanghati draped over the left shoulder and billowing over the ankles. Base sealed and incised with a double-vajra.
