A Vienna porcelain trompe l'oeil cup and saucer

Of cylindrical form with angular handle and original saucer. Painted to imitate prints pinned onto a wooden board, signed "A. Perell. A:o27 G.y.S." Blue "bindenschild" mark, year stamps 802 and 805.
Vienna, Imperial porcelain manufactory under Konrad von Sorgenthal, fired 1802 and 1805, decorated in the Niedermayer period.

Adam Pérelle (1638-1695) was a French engraver.
