A cast iron group with Romulus and Tatius

Both figures screw-mounted to an acanthus base. After Jacques Louis David's painting "Intervention of the Sabine Women" from 1799 depicting the moment in which Hersilia, the wife of Romulus, parts the two fighting warriors. The warrior's thumb lost, the spear loose. H 19.2 and 18 cm
Probably Sayner Hütte, circa 1840.
