A rare cup and saucer with a bust of the Duke of Anhalt-Bernburg

"Glockenform" model with scroll handle and original saucer. Decorated to the display side with a portrait of the Prussian General Alexius Friedrich Christian Herzog von Anhalt-Bernburg (1767 - 1834) in profile in a gilt etched biscuit porcelain reserve surrounded by arabesques. Blue sceptre mark, gold painter's mark, impressed numbers.
Circa 1800 - 1810, the relief after Leonhard Posch.
