Gouache on ivory portraits in 14k gold capsule frames. Portraits of a man in a blue jacket against a red drapery and a lady in a pale blue dress. The frames with hairwork insets to the back panels. In a leather-bound travel case with a stand. The lady's portrait monogrammed and dated to the right above the shoulder: "AR (conjoined) 1816". 7.3 x 5.5 cm. Frame 9.5 x 6.5 cm. Total weight 144.50 g.
