Two painted porcelain plaques with portraits, possibly of a brother and sister

Half-figure portraits on rectangular plaques depicting a facing couple against sepia backgrounds. The young lady wears a white lace dress, the gentleman with glasses and a beard wears a dark green jacket. The lady signed lower left "J. Spelter fec 1845", the gentleman lower right "Spelter fec 1844". H 12 cm. Stucco frame painted to resemble gilding H ca. 20 cm (with minor chips).
