A stone rubbing of an historic city plan of Pingjiang (Suzhou). 19th/early 20th century

Titled: Pingjiang tu (Map of Pingjiang). Mounted as a hanging scroll. Ink on paper. The original stone dates from 1229 and was engraved under the prefect Li Shoupeng. The city map shows the temples, bridges, rivers and city walls of Pingjiang, now Suzhou, at the time of the Southern Song Dynasty.
