"the light fell on a black lacquered surface and that point turned white: this helped me understand how light is of crucial importance for the visual dynamic of things: therefore, to examine its phenomenology and the materials in which it can appear most strongly. therefore now the metals, the steel, the aluminium and the first 'light lines', at the end of the 50s the first surfaces with vibrating texture, which should finally become the fundamental and formative basic investigation."
