A Satsuma incense burner. Kyoto. Late 19th century

Of squat globular shape on tiny feet, with handles in shape of Daikoku's hammer, painted in enamels and gold with the Seven Gods of Good Luck, the domed lid with apertures and a shishi knob. Marked to the base Kinkôzan zô. A tiny chip to the inside of the rim.
