Oil on canvas (relined). 51.5 x 76.5 cm.
Signed lower left (difficult to read on the edge of the wooden stool): ja Zick iunior in(...).

A similar second version of this work but with differing details dated to around 1752 and signed "ja: Zick iunior inv: et pinc" is housed in the Staatsgalerie in Stuttgart (inv. no. 1479). The present work is included in Josef Straßer's catalogue raisonné of works by Zick and its confirmation of authenticity has recently been renewed.
