An ivory netsuke of go players in a peach. First half 19th century

A large peach on a thick leafy branch with two go players concentrating over the gameboard seated opposite each other in the wide opening of the fruit. Very finely carved and engraved, the skin of the fruit finely stippled.
Width 4.7 cm
