A boxwood netsuke of a goat. 18th century

Reclining, with its head held high, the legs under the body as if moving and the long tail lying in a curved arc on its back. Finely carved, engraved and partly polished. Both horns broken off a long time ago and the round short stumps softly polished through wear. Restored. Signed Tametaka (hardly readable).
Width 5.6 cm

Beide Hörner sind vor langer Zeit abgebrochen und durch langes Tragen wurden die kurzen Stumpfe rund und weich geschliffen.
