An important dated Lower Silesian glass goblet and cover with the imperial eagle

Broad rim supporting a faceted baluster shaft with twisted canes and a polygonal faceted cup. The original domed lid with a pinecone finial and twisted canes. The lip and rim of the lid with lambrequin decor. The display side decorated with the Austrian double-headed imperial eagle and a coat of arms, the reverse with a further coat of arms inscribed "I:G:L:LÖBL:N:Ö:LAND:SECR:" and dated "8. NOV=1717". The lid inscribed "CAESAR et IMPERIVM: DOMVS: AVSTRIA: CAESARIS: ARMA". The interior with slight limescale stains. H 38 cm.
