A Berlin KPM porcelain plate with a reproduction of Raphael's “Madonna della Sedia”

Model no. 1054. The well decorated with a copy of the painting, the lip and rim with foliate tendrils. Blue sceptre mark, incised III and L, brown painter's mark. Blaumarke Zepter, geritzt III und L, braunes Malerzeichen. D 24.4 cm.
C. 1815 – 20.

The opulent gilding and the subject fit very well into the production era and the context of the Generals' services. The painter's mark can also be found on several dessert plates from the Iron Helmet service.
