A Berlin KPM porcelain dish from the general's service for Prince Wilhelm of Prussia

Unidentified model. The well painted with the black cross picked out in silver within a broad wreath of oak and laurel entwined by red and black ribbons. Minor wear to the glaze. H 6. D 26.5 cm.
1815 – 1821.

The service for the younger "brother of Sr: Majesty", Prince Wilhelm (1783 - 1851) was delivered on 7th May 1821. In contrast to the services for the other generals, those for the Prussian princes were considerably more simply decorated. They are characterised by the wreath of oak and laurel leaves around the centrally depicted Iron Cross. Prince Wilhelm seems to have actually used the service, as indicated by the slight signs of wear.
