A 14k gold brooch with a perfume locket

14 kt Gelbgold. Disc-shaped pendant with a floral rim and fine granulated decoration depicting a frieze of flowers, birds and butterflies set with a coral bouton (corallium rubrum, diameter ca. 21.5 mm). The indented rim with stylised filigree decoration. With a florally pierced screw-top vinaigrette compartment on the reverse to contain perfume. Hallmarks: Fineness 585, maker's mark, dated 1949. The coral with a hairline crack. Diameter 5.3 cm. Weight 41.3 g.
