An 18k gold convertible ring

Angular crossover shank inset with a turquoise sphere (diameter 11 mm). Hallmarks: Fineness 750, maker's mark "B" in a circle. Ring size 58. Weight without sphere 5.14 g.

The aeronautical engineer and goldsmith Friedrich Becker (Ende bei Hagen 1922 - Düsseldorf 1997) designed the model for this sphere ring in 1957 and was awarded the Bavarian State Prize in 1959 for a slightly modified version of the same piece.<BR>
