A 14k red and yellow gold opal rosette brooch

Cluster set with an opal cabochon (ca. 12.12 x 12.27 mm) and 16 old-cut diamonds (in total ca. 0.48 ct, J/K, si), four demandoid garnets (in total ca. 0.12 ct) and 20 Oriental demi-pearls (diameter ca. 29 mm). Presumably originally a clasp, with old mounting holdes. The back panel and brooch findings replaced. Diameter 2.5 cm. Weight 9.98 g.
Around 1920, with alterations.
