An splendid large pair of Louis XV period ormolu wall sconces

Fire-gilt bronze candle appliques with branches that curve round to almost form circles, designed as reed bundles entwined with oak leaves and hung with foliage and terminating in feathered drip pans and screw-mounted flower bud nozzles. The nozzles drilled for wiring which was later removed. H 79.5, W ca. 57 and 59 cm.
Paris, attributed to Jean Claude Duplessis, around 1750 - 60.
