Black patinated cast iron. 1. Carl Ludwig Willdenow, in profile facing right. Verso engraved "VI" and "78". D 7.9 cm. Two old repairs to the rim.
2. Old man in profile facing left. D 8.9 cm. Rim chip between 6 and 7 o'clock.
3. "FRIEDR. WILH. GRAF V. REDEN KOENIGL. PREUSS. STAATS MINISTER U. CHEF DES BERGWERKS DEPARTEMENTS". Verso with a view of the Redenportal.
Attributed to Royal Prussian Iron Foundries, first quarter 19th C.

The portrait of Willdenow published in Forschler-Tarrasch, Leonhard Posch 1750 – 1831 Porträtmodelleur und Bildhauer, Berlin 2002, no. 412. Posch portrayed the director of the Berlin Botanical Gardens in 1809.
