A zinc model of Emperor William I on horseback

Cast zinc with golden brown bronze patina (worn in some areas). With an applied plaque inscribed "Dem scheidenden Kameraden das Offizier-Corps des 2ten Garde-Regiments zu Fuß." (to the departing comrades of the Officer Corps of the 2nd Infantry Guard Regiment). Engraved "C. KEIL. fec. 1882." and signed "Guss H. Gladenbeck & Sohn". On an ebonised softwood plinth, H 46.5, W 14.8, D 28.4 cm.
