We would like to thank Professor Bernard Aikema, who will publish an essay on this unusual portrait of a squinting man, for confirmation of the full attribution to Jacopo Tintoretto.

This portrait is stylistically related to other works by Tintoretto from the third quarter of the sixteenth century.
