Iberisch-Kolonial 17th or 18th century

A stone figure of the Virgin and Child, Iberian-Colonial, 17th-18th century

Presumably alabaster, carved in the round. With, presumably original, older polychromy. Depicting the Virgin Mary standing on an earth mound base in a gently swaying pose, holding the Christ Child over one hip.
The Child's right hand and the Virgin's sceptre lost. Wear with losses to the polychromy. Height 15.5 cm.
